A-du has implemented several features to prevent discrimination:
- Hidden Photos: Tenant profile photos are hidden from landlords until after approval to prevent unconscious bias
- Objective Criteria: Landlords must set written tenant selection criteria before screening
- Individualized Assessment: Criminal background checks must use individualized assessment, not blanket bans
- Source of Income Protection: Section 8 vouchers and all lawful income sources must be accepted
- Content Moderation: Reviews are moderated to remove discriminatory language
